Dr. Sampath Chandra Prasad Rao

Dr. Rao is an Otolaryngologist who is fellowship trained in both Anterior and Lateral Skull Base Surgeries. He has worked with Prof. Mario Sanna, Prof. Paolo Castelnuovo and other prominent European Skull Base Surgeons and has a vast experience in treating various challenging Skull Base Pathologies. Dr. Rao has over 100 peer reviewed scientific publications (h index of 19), 25 chapters & 1 text book on Cochlear & other Auditory Implants by Thieme International. He is a visiting Professor at the Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He has pioneered many new concepts in skull base surgery in India. He is the Founder of World Skull Base. His areas of interest are Vestibular Schwannomas, Skull Base Meningiomas, Paragangliomas, Petrous Bone Cholesteatomas, Temporal Bone Malignancies, Cochlear Implantation, Bone Anchored Hearing devices, Auditory Brainstem Implantation, Nose and Paranasal tumors, Juvenile Nasopharyngeal Angiofibromas and Head & Neck Cancers

Dr. KC Prasad Rao is an eminent Otolaryngologist specialised in Head & Neck Surgeries. He has pioneered many concepts in Head & Neck Oncosurgery notably regional blocks in Head & Neck surgery. He served as Professor & Head of the Department of ORLHNS at Manipal University, Mangalore and as Dean of SIMSRC, Mangalore. He also served as the Consultant ENT surgeon at the King AbdulAziz Specialist Hospital in Saudi Arabia and as a Consultant ENT surgeon at various hospitals in the UAE. He has over 50 international peer reviewed publications t o his credit and has been a thesis guide to over 50 students. He was also the 1st person to start the Cochlear Implant programme in Mangalore, thereby establishing the 1st center in Karnataka outside Bangalore.

Dr. Sunil V Furtado is a senior consultant neurosurgeon in Bangalore with over 15 years experience in Neurosurgery. He completed his MCh from Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute, Trivandrum; a national institute under the Central ministry of Science and Technology. He worked for 9 years at the Sri Sathya Sai Institute for Higher Medical Sciences at Whitefield, Bangalore. During his stay, he was actively involved with neuro-oncology projects with the Indian Institute of Science and CSIR & focused on brain tumors and cerebrovascular disorders. He then completed two fellowships in the US: Cerebrovascular & Skull Base Surgery at Stanford University, California & Endovascular Neurosurgery at The Mount Sinai Hospital, New York. These fellowships provided a multimodality approach to managing complex head, neck and brain tumors, integrating skills of operative neurosurgery and radio-interventional neurosurgery.

She is currently working at Telerad Soultions, Whitefield, one of India's largest Teleradiology solution providers. She also works at Columbia Asia Hospitals, Bangalore
